| An Electrolux upright that is about 8 years old was working fine last night, and then after a bit today the roller stopped working. I turned it over and there was hair and thread all tangled up in it. So I got all of the gunk out and tried to vacuum again but the roller still isn't working. Help! |

| You might have a broken belt, which is what drives the roller. They wear out and they break from time to time. Fortunately, they are usually fairly easy to change. Some vacuum cleaners have a reset button that lets the roller kick out when something jams. You then have to push the reset button to engage the roller again. |
